7 Characteristics of Falling In Love

7 CHARACTERISTICS OF FALLING IN LOVE
1.   Always say love for Him (Shahadah)
Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:
  • The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
  • Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
  • Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the  fire."  (Sahih Bukhari)
2.   Want to be closer with Him (Prayer – Salat)
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever establishes the prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not to show off) then all his past sins will be forgiven."
3.   Always remember and call His Name (Zikr)
4.   Willing to sacrifice to get His Love/ Mercy (Zakat)
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Seven people will be shaded by Allah under His shade on the day when there will be no shade except His. They are:
  • A just ruler;
  • A young man who has been brought up in the worship of Allah, (i.e. worship Allah (Alone) sincerely from his childhood),
  • A man whose heart is attached to the mosque (who offers the five compulsory congregational prayers in the mosque);
  • Two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause only;
  • A man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for an illegal sexual intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah;
  • A person who practices charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity).
  • A person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes get flooded with tears."
5.   Always read His Love Letter (Recite Qur’an)
Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari:
The Prophet said, "The example of him (a believer) who recites the Qur'an is like that of a citron which tastes good and smells good. And he (a believer) who does not recite the Qur'an is like a date which is good in taste but has no smell. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who recites the Qur'an is like the Raihana (sweet basil) which smells good but tastes bitter. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who does not recite the Qur'an is like the colocynth which tastes bitter and has no smell. (Sahih Bukhari)
Narrated 'Uthman:
The Prophet said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it." (Sahih Bukhari)
6.   Always be with Him (khalwat) in the last third of the night remains (prayer at night - Tahajjud)
Narrated Abu Huraira:
 Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, "Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: "Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?" (Sahih Bukhari)

Narrated Um Salama:
One night the Prophet got up and said, "Subhan Allah! How many afflictions Allah has revealed tonight and how many treasures have been sent down (disclosed). Go and wake the sleeping lady occupants of these dwellings up (for prayers), perhaps a well-dressed in this world may be naked in the Hereafter."  (Sahih Bukhari)

7.   Follow / Take His Orders (obedient/ta’at)
And remember, if Allah loves somebody, He will afflict with trial, to prove whether you are obedient.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with trials."  (Sahih Bukhari)
